Forex Strategy Builder (FSB) is a complete system for building,
testing and optimizing forex trading strategies.
It uses a great variety of technical indicators, logic and parameters to give you
a good opportunity for better understanding of the technical analysis.
Q: I am new to Forex. Can I use this program?
Yes, you can. It is designed to be easy and useful. You can start learning forex with it. FSB allows you to make a trading strategy based on technical analysis without using formulas or scripts. It provides all the indicators and logics, calculated and arranged in simple menus.
Q: Do I need to be online to use the program?
No. You don't have to be online to use FSB since all the needed data is already on your computer (the application and the quotes). However, if you want to visit the help pages or the forum you'll need to connect to the Internet.
Q: Which broker to use to apply the strategy created with FSB?
It's not important which broker you use as long as their trading platform includes the usage of the indicators in your own strategy.
Q: Can Metatrader (or some other platform) import my FSB strategies?
No. You have to rewrite your strategy yourself using MQL 4 language.
Q: Can I use FSB to trade online?
No. Currently you can use FSB only to prepare strategies and test them using historic quotes. However, we are thinking about including the online trade option in some of the next versions of the program.

Q: Where can I download the last version from?
FSB can be find on many places in the net, but the newest version will be published on our website first.
Q: When a new version will be released?
The FSB development teem works constantly on improving the program. As soon as we find a way to improve the program, a new version will be released.
Installation
Q: How to install Forex Strategy Builder?
Simply download the installation file (it is a self - extractable archive) and extract it somewhere on your computer. You can make a shortcut on your desktop and download the newest history forex data from here. FSB requires Microsoft .NET Framework v2.0. If you receive an error message after trying to start the program, it indicates that you don't have the framework installed. You can find more information online.
Q: What do I need to have FSB working?
Forex Strategy Builder requires Microsoft .NET Framework v2.0 or later.
Q: What is Microsoft .NET Framework?
The .NET Framework is an integral Windows component that supports building and running the next generation of applications. But, it is nothing to worry about. Just install it and forget it.
Q: I am not sure if I have the framework installed?
In this case, you can check your computer by visiting our testing webpage. You have
to use Internet Explorer and to permit the execution of the script. You will receive
hints what to do later.
The other way is to try to start Forex Strategy Builder from your computer. If it
doesn't start the only reason to fail is the framework absence.

Q: I am trying to start but I get an error?
Seems you don't have Microsoft .NET Framework v2.0 installed on your computer.
Q: Can I install/run the program from removable drives (flash memory, CDs, etc.)?
Yes. FSB can be installed and run from any kind of memory as long as you have .NET framework on your computer.
Forex quotes
Q: Can I download latest quotes automatically through FSB?
Not for now. In the current version you need to manually download the quotes from the FSB website and decompress them in the data folder.
Q: Can I use quotes downloaded from different source?
Yes. As long as the name of the downloaded quote file is in the same format supported by FSB - currency pair symbol and timeframe in minutes with the extension ".csv" (example - "EURUSD1440.csv").
Q: Can I edit the data quotes files?
Yes. You can open the files with a text editor and change or add the data you want.
Q: Why the quotes are not updated automatically?
This option is not yet included in the program. You will need to download the quotes manually from the website.
Q: Is it necessary to have the latest quotes in order to use FSB effectively?
No. It is not necessary to have the latest data since the purpose of FSB is to build strategies that work in general (based on historic data). The data from the last few weeks shouldn't have major impact on the strategy's results nor on your virtual balance chart pattern.
